MatFib center-fiber RVE

A unit cube of matrix with one fiber that does not reach the faces. Load enters through the matrix; the cohesive interface then loads the fiber. This is the stored MatFib FinalProgram_full_1F solution.

Problem

  • Unit cube $[0,1]^3$, structured H8 matrix ($5\times5\times5$ elems)
  • One center fiber: $(0.21,0.51,0.52)\to(0.81,0.52,0.51)$
  • Left $x=0$: fully fixed · right $x=1$: prescribed $u_x$, $u_y=u_z=0$
  • Cohesive bond (replaces linear $t_{\mathrm{mat}}$ in FinalProgram_full_1F)

Viewer notes

  • Cyan curve = fiber bar DOFs (deformed)
  • Magenta dashed = matrix displacement interpolated on the fiber line (B8)
  • Gap cyan–magenta ≈ bond slip
