  • Square column 1 × 1 × 6, clamped into a rigid base plate
  • All DOFs fixed on Z = 0 face (25 nodes, icode = 7)
  • Free tip given an initial rigid-body spin about Z

Boundary conditions

  • Fixed end: UX = UY = UZ = 0
  • Free end: traction-free
  • IC: v0 = ωZ × r, ωZ ≈ 105

What to notice
